Larry Tayler’s Talk on Hope & Fear.

Larry Tayler is our guest speaker for today’s service. He is an eloquent and prolific speaker who always enlightens us.

Larry Tayler retired in 2014 after a 46-year teaching and arts management career, the last 30 years of which were in Toronto. Born near Wellington, he is relishing retirement back in The County. For the last several years, he has given annual presentations to the Circle of Friends at The Andrew. His topics have included “Grace, Gravity and Getting Old” (2019), “Our Servant Job” (2022), “Jesus for the Embarrassed” (2023), and “Transforming Grief” (2024). He is an enthusiastic writer and photographer and is currently writing a novel about a gay minister who moves to Picton and finds love.

In his spare time, Larry cultivates interests in public speaking, railways, volunteer work, and doing the laundry. He shares life with his husband, the quilt maker Bill Stearman, plus three dogs and an irritable cat.
